Plot Summary:
Former high school teacher and author of the source novel of the film, François Bégaudeau, plays a version of himself (named François Marin) in this portrait of high school life in an ethnically diverse school in France. We follow him and his Year Three French class for one school year. François is not afraid to debate with his students when the confront him, but democracy in a classroom sometimes entails serious risks.
